  1.                                        WELCOME TO MINIBURN VERSION 1.0 !

  3. This program will help you create AUDIO CDs from Wavefiles on your computer's CDR or 
  4. CDRW drive. 
  5.  
  6. To use, insert a blank disc (CD-R media recommended) into your CD-BURNER, drag some 
  7. RAW (uncompressed) 44.1K Stereo WAVE FILES into the BURNLIST, and press the 
  8. 'BURN A CD' button. Note: do not attempt to add files from a NETWORK drive; use only 
  9. 'local' drives.
  10.  
  11. The resulting CD will be playable on a regular CD PLAYER (NOTE: Disc must also be 
  12. 'finalized' - use the BURN CD + FINALIZE button.)
  13.  
  14. To  AUDITION or DELETE a song that you have placed in the BURNLIST, highlight 
  15. (mouse-click) the file and right-click on it to open the popup  menu.
  16.  
  17. This program can be used as a 'plugin' with Band-in-a-Box or Powertracks (accessible from 
  18. the audio features menu), and can also be used 'stand-alone'.

  24. Burn Button States:
  25.  
  26. BURN A CD + FINALIZE
  27. Use this button if you would like to make a CD that can be played back in any Audio 
  28. CD-Player. See the Finalize Checkbox option below.
  29.  
  30. BURN A CD + NO FINALIZE
  31. Use this button if you would like to burn the current burnlist/files --but also keep adding files 
  32. to this disc without closing off the session. Note: Disc won't be playable on a CD-Player 
  33. until disc is "finalized".

  35. TEST BURN A CD  
  36. Press this button to 'testburn' a CD (i.e., to ensure that your burner setup is working 
  37. correctly). If your testburn fails, try reducing the number of open applications and/or lower 
  38. the BURN SPEED setting.

  41. OTHER SETTINGS
  42. -------------------------------

  44. Finalize (make playable CD) checkbox (default is true) -  changes BURN CD-button. Enable 
  45. this checkbox if you would like to close the session off on your CD so that it can be played 
  46. back in any Audio CD-Player. Disable this setting if you would like to keep adding files to 
  47. this disc without closing off the session.

  49. Test Mode (simulate burn) checkbox (default is false) - enable this checkbox to 'testburn' a 
  50. CD (i.e., to ensure that your burner setup is working correctly.) No data will be written to 
  51. your disc, and the disc will still be useable after the test burn has completed.

  53. Cancel button - cancels the recording process. If you press this button while burning a CD 
  54. you will be given an extra warning/confirmation first (Note: this can cause burner instability. 
  55. Reboot recommended when using this function in non-test mode.)

  57. Add button - launches a standard Windows File | Open dialog. Select a file to add to the 
  58. Burnlist. Press the ADD button to add 44.1K Stereo WAVE files to the burn list.

  60. About button/system menu - shows current version and basic instructions.

  62. Burnlist Window
  63. Drag 44.1K Stereo WAVE FILES into the Burnlist Window. Sort the files by dragging the 
  64. files into the order that you would like them to appear on the disc. Right-click on a filename 
  65. to Play/Stop/Delete (or double-click to remove).

  68. DESCRIPTION OF FILENAMES
  69. --------------------------------------------------

  71. MINIBURN.EXE - main program executable. This program can be run as a plugin from 
  72. within Band-in-a-Box or PowerTracks Pro Audio, or can be run "stand alone". Double-click 
  73. this file (located in the main Band-in-a-Box or PowerTracks folder) to run the burner 
  74. software.

  76. DONE.WAV - this wave file (if present) will play when the burning operation is complete. 
  77. You can use any standard wave file- just save it as done.wav and the program will play that 
  78. file when done.

  80. BURN.TXT - the program automatically looks for and loads files specified in the burn.txt file 
  81. at the beginning of a burn session. Band-in-a-Box and PowerTracks Pro Audio create a 
  82. burn.txt file when the burner program is launched, adding the "current song" to the burnlist 
  83. automatically.

  85. ACDWRITE.OCX - an active X control that is registered and installed into Windows. This 
  86. file is required for the burner software to operate.
